In the story of Iliad, Achilles, a Warrior of Achaean, is the strongest, and the most skilled person in all of the Achaean. He is known as a very skillful warrior and a brave warrior with just a single swing of his sword, many will fall. He is very unstoppable with his unmeasurable skills especially if he is really on the meek of the battle.
We have known that Achilles is a very skilled and the strongest warrior, but at the other side, he only thinks by himself, he only want to follow his orders of his belief that he really is the strongest and no one can ever stop him. He is an epitome of stubbornness, and it make himself the worst Warrior of all Achaean, just because of this attitude.
In Book 9, we may also tell that Achilles is merciless and only thinks of himself because of the decision he had thrown to Agamemnon and Odysseus. He was offered with many things, and he was asked to forgive Agamemnon, but he refused, because of Achilles great anger to Agamemnon. I may say that this may be an appropriate decision for him as for himself, because Agamemnon delude Achilles several times, especially when Briseis, the love of Achilles was caught by Agamemnon. But for his decision as a King, this is very inappropriate, because he should always serve for his country and for his men, and also, he should not apply his emotions on War, for he, the Strongest Warrior was titled for him to defeat all those who does not fear the Achaeans. It is very inappropriate because his friends were also in peril, but still, he refuse to help them at the War.
If I will apply myself to this situation, at first I will really choose not to help those people who have disgraced me, with all the things that they've done to me. But I know that this decision won't help anything, so I will choose to do what are the things to do and not only for myself but for the betterment of my people.

ReplyDeleteGood insights! Just be very conscious with your choice of words. Consider the intended meaning and the appropriate words to be used ( e.g.thinks OF himself instead of thinks BY himself, immeasurable instead of unmeasurable,on the other hand instead of AT THE OTHER SIDE, if I would be in this situation instead of IF I WILL APPLY myself to this situation).
